Ischemic stroke becomes the reason why some neural networks as well as cortico-subcortical excitability change either in the evidently spared contralateral hemisphere of the upper extremity or in the affected area. The processes are modulated through recent non-invasive brain stimulation techniques. In particular, a rehabilitation program and non-invasive instrument called transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) has already been implemented to examine the changes in brain plasticity caused by stroke and used as a therapeutic modality to securely increase the function of motor and activities of daily living (ADL). This study investigated the effect of low-frequency TMS with rehabilitation programs in post-ischemic stroke patients to improve the upper extremity's motor function. Randomized controlled trial was conducted in this study by dividing 11 patients into two groups which fulfilled the present inclusion criteria. Wolf Motor Function Test (WMFT) and Upper Extremity Fugl Meyer Assessment (UEFMA) were used to ADL of day 7 and to measure the levels of motor function, respectively. The study results showed a considerable difference in TMS with the rehabilitation program which was achieved on day seven on both groups. The total score of UEFMA and WMFT considerably increased from the condition before intervention (UEFMA intervention-control: 19.83-6.00; WMFT intervention-control: 20.67–4.00, p < 0.001). Therefore, low-frequency TMS with a rehabilitation program is recommended since it shows a considerable increase in the motor function of the upper extremity and ADL among the patients with post-ischemic stroke.

Caregiver’s behaviour in caring for family members with mental disorders highly influenced the life quality of post-shackle psychiatric patients. This study aimed at determining the determinants of behaviour in the caregiver that affect the life quality of post-shackle patients. The study was conducted using an analytical survey with a cross-sectional study approach. Samples were taken from a population of 63 post-shackle patients and their caregivers in Klaten and Sukoharjo. All seven determinants of caregiver behaviour were analysed by concurrent regression. The independent variables were knowledge, attitudes, behavioural tendencies, subjective norms, self-efficacy, intentions, and social support from the family, while the dependent variable was the life quality of post-stock patients. Data analysis included multiple regression analysis test, t-test, F-test, and R2. The regression test revealed F obtained of 9.624 with a significance value of 0.001 (ρ <0.05) so that H0 was rejected. The determination value was 0.493. Hence, the independent variable in the model could explain 49.3% of variations of changes in the dependent variable. The study concluded that caregiver behaviour, namely the factors of knowledge, attitude, self-efficacy, and caregiver intention, partially determined the quality of life of post-shackle patients in Klaten and Sukoharjo districts.

We aimed to compare the protective effect of short-term supplementation of a powdered tart cherry supplement (Prunuscerasus the sour cherry) and eating local tart cherry fruit in the north of Iraq, in managing hyperlipidemia and relieving the pain of gout. Four groups were recruited: Two for moderate to border level of uric acid and two for moderate to high hyperlipidemia patients; a group once dealing with300g local fresh tart cherry and the other group with 500mg of freeze dryer powder capsule of tart cherry fruits daily for six weeks. The participants were randomly assigned into a placebo or treatment group. 24-hr dietary records were required to be filled by the volunteers before taking blood, which allowed the assessment of any dietary changes. A fasting blood sampling occurred on the first day of the study (baseline). After a 6-week intervention period, the whole blood was collected for lipid profile analysis. Total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL), and triglyceride were significantly lower in participants receiving local tart cherry fruits compared with those receiving freeze-dried tart cherry powder capsule and in the control group, a significant increase in high-density lipoprotein (HDL), along with a significant lowering of serum uric acid, especially for border level of serum uric acid patients without medication was found. All participants had a high degree of interest, mainly as the fruits existing were cheap in northern Iraq instead of its capsule that was expensive and not present in this region. We recommend local freeze dryer powder capsule be available in Iraq.

Cancer is a disease that changes the way one thinks about life, threatens to impair one's performance, and also change one's appearance. Being diagnosed with cancer causes a buzz in a person's life. Patient nurses should try to control their level of emotional distress while making vital decisions about treatment. The patient's main concerns include fears of death, dependence, malformation, disability, rejection and severance, and financial issues. Patient reactions are modulated by psychological and interpersonal factors. Medical factors include tumor location, symptoms, and course of the disease. Psychological factors include temperament, ability to adapt, ego power and the evolutionary stage of life, and the effects and meaning of cancer at that stage. Interpersonal factors are related to family and social support. Patients may experience anxiety, sadness, fear, and anger, or may become numb. Sin and the common mechanisms play a major role in it. Cognitively, patients may be aggressively seeking information, or may be confused or paralyzed or unable to concentrate. Physical complaints may increase and daily activities, appetite and sleep may be disturbed. Acute stress reactions may be severe but are usually variable and transient. When the disorder lasts for more than 10-14 days, Baciti evaluates the patient for psychiatric status.

Self-care is an essential factor that affects the improvement of the health conditions of patients with heart failure. It is known that several variables affect self-care, including self-efficacy, family support, social support, distress, age, duration of illness. However, there are still few studies that have addressed these variables together. This study aimed to determine the factors that affect self-care among heart failure patients. This research used an analytic observational research design through a cross-sectional approach. The sampling method used an accidental sampling technique and resulted in 73 respondents who were selected based on pre-determined sample criteria. Participants were asked to fill out questionnaires, including self-care, self-efficacy, family support, anxiety, and demography variables. The data analysis included bivariate (Pearson) and multivariate regression analysis to estimate the correlation between self-care and self-efficacy, family support, anxiety, age, and disease length. 73 patients with heart failure in this study had an average self-care score of 31.33, which means that patients can do self-care well. From the five variables carried out in the multivariate analysis, there were only two variables (family support and self-efficacy) that had a significant effect on patient self-care. Family support is the main factor affecting self-care (β= 1,949, p= 0.000), followed by self-efficacy (β= 0.226, p= 0.001), then self-efficacy, where both had a positive correlation. The results indicated that a strategy is needed to improve self-care for heart failure patients, which includes family support and self-efficacy to achieve optimal results.

This study aimed to determine the effects of a teleconference on nurses’ knowledge and attitudes in the prevention and control of COVID-19 infection. The present study employed a pre-post experimental design without a control group with a total of 60 nurses as participants. The study was conducted in three hospitals in Semarang city. The inclusion criteria were nurses who worked in the emergency unit, COVID-19 isolation units, and ICU, as well as those who were permanent nurses and were not on duty while receiving the intervention. Meanwhile, the exclusion criteria were nurses who had less than two-year work experience and were apprentice nurses. This study was conducted by providing the intervention on the prevention and control of COVID-19 infection via teleconferences. Data were collected using the knowledge and attitude questionnaire that had been tested for its validity and reliability. The data on knowledge and attitudes were analysed using the paired t-test, while the participants’ characteristics were presented descriptively in the frequency and percentage tables. The results indicated that there was an increase in the participants’ knowledge and attitudes. The paired t-test showed a significant value in the knowledge (p=0.000) and attitudes (p=0.005) after the provision of teleconferences for infection control (TIC). This research is a part of the communication and information technology research in nursing. Teleconferences can expand the understanding of information about infection prevention and control during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Optimal leg muscle activity is one of the essential factors to maintain body stability. The condition of the pedis arch could affect the musculoskeletal structure and biomechanics of the body. Furthermore, age and sex also affect the formations of the pedis arch. The objective is to determine the relationship between the degree of flat foot and the activation of the lower leg muscles in children aged 12 years old. The study was conducted using the correlational method with a Cross-Sectional approach. The sample of the study included 15 girls aged 12 years old. The independent variable was measured by the wet footprint test with Clarke's angle category method and the dependent variable was measured by sEMG. The results showed that there was no relationship between flat foot and lower leg muscle activation in children aged 12 years old (p>0.05) with p-value of 0.58, 0.462, and 0.642 for the activation of anterior tibial muscle, the medial gastrocnemius muscle, and the lateral gastrocnemius muscle, respectively. There was no relationship between the flat foot and the activation of lower leg muscles in children aged 12 years.

This experimental laboratory animals research aimed at the anti-inflammatory activity of a new dipharmacophore derivative dexibuprofen and nebracetam when modeling an acute and chronic inflammatory reaction. The studied dipharmacophore compound based on dexibuprofen and nebracetam is indicated by the dexibuneb laboratory code and has the chemical formula (2S) -N - ((1-benzyl-5-hydroxypyrrolidin-3-yl) methyl) -2- (4-isobutylphenyl) propanamide. Dexibuneb was administered intragastrically at a dose of 80 mg/kg; dexibuprofen and nebracetam were administered intragastrically at a dose of 40 mg/kg. The minimum increase in paw edema was recorded in the group of animals treated with dexibuneb. It amounted to 33.61 ± 7.41 of the initial value, which is statistically significantly (p <0.05) less than the values both in the control group and in the groups treated with dexibuprofen nebracetam monotherapy. The use of dexibuneb reduced the increase in dry weight of the granuloma by 43.09% (p <0.05) relative to the increase in the control group. In this study, when studying the severity of the anti-inflammatory effect on acute and chronic inflammation models, we found a positive pharmacodynamic interaction of molecular fragments of various therapeutic orientations, combined in an innovative dipharmacophore compound with the laboratory name dexibuneb. Inhibition of paw edema after introducing carrageenan into the plantar aponeurosis and the increase in the mass of granulomas implanted in rat armpits was statistically significantly more pronounced in the groups of animals treated with dexibuneb than with dexibuprofen and nebracetam monotherapy.

Women, particularly healthy women, need medical attention in order to carry out their sexual and reproductive functions safely and effectively. There has been a massive expansion of health technology and health systems in the second half of this century to provide women with many aspects of reproductive health care. There are numerous problems related to the impairment of women's reproductive health during the infancy or teenage years. The great importance among gynecological pathologies assigns to vulvovaginitis. It is the most frequent reason for visits to children's gynecologists. The development of the disease is promoted by anatomo-physiological features of a girl`s genital tracts before puberty, bacterial and viral agents, the neglect of personal hygiene rules, helminthic invasion, allergic disorders, endocrine pathology. During the course of medical-preventive and rehabilitation actions for vulvovaginitis in girls, a special approach requires psychological support, which is built on the root causes of their problems, and various health-related aspects, since in no other field is the relationship between psychology and physiology as close as in the field of sexuality and the reproductive health. Thus, the studying of clinical-psychological features of vulvovaginitis remains relevant since it helps to prevent critical consequences during the formation of the reproductive system.
